No one is surprised by the small turnout. They have lost most of their support. It's just a matter of time till we get our town back. November can't come quick enough.
HAMMONTON FIRST DRAWS OVER 300 PEOPLE, MANY VOLUNTEER TO RUN FOR COUNCIL
OK, now that we have the Gazette headline out of the way let's get down to the truth. About 35 people attended the "open call" for candidates last night with the majority being the close knit circle of officers and their families, including the largest campaign contributors from the last two years. When the "call" went out for candidates, there were no volunteers. No decision was made on a ticket for the upcoming election. Now we'll just have to wait and see.
These would be questions that I should be asked in HF's casting call. Will you speak up or remain quiet if someone from your party presses ridiculous charges against someone? Will you press ridiculous charges that are a waste to the taxpayer's money yourself? Are you for or against vendettas? Will you act upon your vendettas when elected? Are you for or against vendettas if there are no consequences such as not having to pay or apologize even if you lose? How do you feel about family members benefitting from town projects even if they aren't qualified? Do you feel shame in taking credit for other people's work? What flavor Kool-Aid do you prefer? Which would you do first, cut the police budget or cut the fire department's budget? Do you have any ideas in delaying the Hammonton Lake cleanup? If there was one HF mistake you could erase, what would it be?
From what I have heard, they think the public has forgotten any mistakes they may have made and are back on their way to winning some seats in this election. I think November will be a rude awakening for them.
