This is obviously not a political issue, however we felt the people of Hammonton would need a place to discuss and vent. Here it is. Read the story in the Hammonton News
What do you expect Joe Giralo to do? The rules are in place to prevent this type of thing from happenning, the bus driver didn't follow those rules and will now have to face the consequences. Joe already spends too much time micro-managing the schools. Do you think he should be checking each bus when they finish each run to look for children? Put the blame where the blame belongs and stop throwing your darts at the wrong people.
This is horrible. It wouldn't have happened if there were more Democrats on the school board. Loser Republicans like Joe Giralo caused this. He probably gave the job to a friend.
Joe Giralo is a board member who donates enough of his time. The problem lies with Joe Berenato it's his department. He can't be bothered to do anything with the drivers. That's why he has one with numerous complaints against her for speeding, talking on the cell phone, treating the kids like crap etc Your program is the supervisor not the board member.
It's not Mr. Beranato's fault either. The rules are in place to prevent this type of thing from happening, the bus driver is the one who chose not to follow the rules that day. Now the driver will have to pay the consequences. It sounds like you have a personal grudge against Mr Beranato.
What is this Berenato involvement? We just elected Berenato. Is this already a "friends and family" problem the Democrats are causing? They must hate kids. Remember when Ripa threw the little boy with special needs out of the Lake Park?
You are talking about the wrong Bernato. They mean Joe Bernato who is in charge of the bus garage. And as for the incident you mention, look at the facts, that never happened.
Are you calling the parents and Joe Giralo liars? Of course this is a true story that the poor little boy was left on the bus. What kind of people are you Democrats? Ripa threw the one little boy out of the Lake Park. Now this child's incident. Horrible!
I think what the Admin meant was yes, Robin Ripa did throw that boy out of the park, however, she was a Republican then. She recently switched to the Democratic Party so it doesn't count. It is similar to when Bill Clinton lied about the whole Monica Lewinski thing and said, "it depends on what the definition of the word "IS" is."
It doesn't count that she switched parties. What counts is that you are right, she never threw him out of the park. They were told when they asked for the space that they had to sell something different because someone else was already selling that item but they chose to ignore the rules and were asked to sell something different. Another misrepresented story by the HF supporters that served on council at the time.
What Robin Ripa did was not right. She should have been sensitive to a special needs child. Why in the world would the Democrats want to run someone the Republicans no longer wanted around?

Many people in Hammonton have made the switch to Democrats in the last year and more will most likely either switch or surely vote all Democrat with all the infighting in the Republican party nationwide and locally.
What is this Berenato involvement? We just elected Berenato. Is this already a "friends and family" problem the Democrats are causing? They must hate kids. Remember when Ripa threw the little boy with special needs out of the Lake Park?
Let's see who loves kids the most. Who had repeatedly spoken about public safety? Democrats. Who spoke out about the lake cleanup? Democrats. Who publicly stated support for youth sports? Democrats. Who is spoken out of their concern the town hall project will overburden our children-the future taxpayers-Democrats. If Democrats didn't speak up then HF would get away with whatever they wanted to and hurt Hammonton even more.
Both have been answered and as usual you have ignored both answers. As usual you only hear what you want to hear and continue to throw the same darts even though you have been proven wrong. Selective listening is a trait of truly ignorant people. Open up your mind and listen to what people are telling you. You could learn a lot from people other than those who only tell you what you want to hear, your puppets.
Who threw the special needs child out of the Lake Park? Democrat (for now) Robin Ripa. A Lie!!!!
Who raised taxes like crazy and built a school that their own accountant said had "crap" quality? Democrats Jim MacLane and Bobby Capoferri - Another Lie!!!!

Let's see. Are you writing above that Robin Ripa is not a Democrat (for now, since she was a Republican last year)? That's just reality. Do you really think you can convince people otherwise?
Are you saying that Robin Ripa didn't write a letter to the editor in the Hammonton News to say why she thought is was okay to throw the little boy out of the park? It was printed in the Hammonton News.
Are you writing that Mike Cuneo didn't call the quality of the school construction "crap?" It was printed in the Hammonton News.
Absolutely she wrote a letter, but it explained why she asked them to sell something else before and again during the event, she absolutely never threw anyone out of the park.
Absolutely, Mr. Cuneo never called the quality of the school construction crap.
You are misquoting events for your benefit. Selective listening again.
Don't accuse me of lying. The letter that was printed was a letter that was addressed to the architect of the project. Mr. Cuneo felt the architect wasn't addressing the remaining items that had to be finished with the school fast enough. The letter was deliberately written in that way to make him react. It was not a letter that was trying to tell people his impression of the building project. Mr. Cuneo is very proud of the building project and the fine education we can provide here in Hammonton because of this state of the art building. Stop taking things out of context to use to your advantage. And by the way, the letter was not printed in the Hammonton News, it was printed in the Gazette, and was taken out of context the same way you are doing now.
In Cuneo's letter, he called the school construction "crap." That's just the facts. - That's the facts as you see it, and of course you selectively use the quotes you want and forget to acknowledge the rest of the story.
The roof of the building leaks now, and is going to cost tens of thousands to fix the floor. - And why was all this damage allowed to happen before any action was taken. Don't try and tell me it's been leaking for 6 years and nothing was done.
The cheap Chinese heater wasted tens of thousands of dollars in fuel. - Maybe they should have called the experts in from the beginning instead of waiting 6 years.
Is it really constuction problems or is it a failure to react in a timely fashion? There are warranties in place to get the jobs done right in the first place, if noone followed up then it's a different problem.

Lemonade Stand Standoff
(KYW)HAMMONTON, N.J. An Atlantic County 11-year-old boy who has Aspergers Syndrome was forced to shut down his lemonade stand. CBS 3s Cydney Long reports he was selling the juice at a festival, when the organizers shut him down.
Tyler Lucca was trying to raise money for a digital technology summer camp trip to Seattle.
It was his grandmothers secret blueberry lemonade blend that 11-year-old Tyler Lucca, who suffers from an illness similar to autism, was selling at a Fourth of July festival at Hammonton Lake Park.
Its the blueberry capital of the world, said Tyler, adding, They make the best blueberries here, so it tastes really good.
But the event organizer, Robin Ripa, a Parks and Recreation volunteer, who is also a police department secretary, shut his stand down.
There was this other guy selling lemonade, but he was all the way, like, we couldn't even see his stand through the trees, said Tyler.
She said I told you before and I'm telling you again. If I come back in five minutes and your signs not down, will be with two police officers by her side, described Tylers grandmother, Mary Lucca.
Is her behavior atrocious? In my opinion, absolutely, said Bill Olivo.
Councilman Bill Olivo says he and his colleagues will look into the lemonade incident. Its a shame that we dont know whether its going to be reversible for him, said Olivo, adding, Its an unfortunate situation and I think if theres any abuse of power on Ripas part, we'll have to deal with that on council.
Robin Ripa, who is hiring an attorney, did not return CBS 3s phone calls, but expressed her opinion in the Hammonton News. She wrote Tyler's grandmother signed up for the event late and that other vendors were already selling lemonade. She stated the Lucca's need to sell something else.
To him, I think he viewed what he was doing as wrong, said Tylers grandmother.
Previous successful lemonade stands helped Tyler raise enough money for him to attend his technology camp in Seattle, Washington.
Notice that the lawyer was contacted back in 2005, it is confirmed in this report. Some of the people who made false comments back in 2005 are now the ones facing this lawsuit. Robin couldn't speak then, she can't speak out now, but her day in court is coming, and she will clear her name.
