At the special meeting of Council on Monday afternoon, Council awarded a contract for Technology services. There are many questions that still remain. Comments were already posted on a different thread and I will move them here so this can be discussed.
How about Monday's council meeting, did anyone else notice the election season stunt of having The I Know Everything Ed as acting mayor for the meeting. This special meeting was intended to be for his/their political gain. They had a short meeting planned with a nice excuse why the mayor was missing and even the County Exec. was there to make the show complete. And the mayor was back in time to make sure they had the votes needed for his personal item on the agenda. Nice plan - better luck next time. But you are not fooling anyone, you can be sure of that.

The whole meeting was a disgrace. They awarded a bid for incomplete work. The Firsters are going to do the minimum amount required and dump the improvements needed and the bills to go with it in the next councils laps. Find a positive for that one. I'm positive we are going to get the biggest tax increase in this town's history because of the mishandling this mayor and council has done.
OK for the record i am a rep. but the facts are very plain the mayor was at a important meeting involving kessler . I did watch the meeting and feel that the i.t. guy selected gave a good bid. 55 runs or drops we only have about 30 people working in town hall so 55 is 25 extra. lastly how can we bash about a 12 dollar bid which was the low bid.

You obviously do not have a clue about competitive bids. This was one of the worste written bid requests I have ever seen, never put an hourly charge for work to be completed. Lets see 55 drops at eighty five dollars is $5,100. The bid was not to exceed $12 ,300. Now you have given the contractor the ability to charge by the hour for the remaining $7,200. Thats smart! I am sure he will work at a fast pace to save the tax payers money. Yeah right. DiDanato's budy is going to sock it to the town. Will the workers be payed prevailing rate? This is determined by the department of labor, or will the contractor hire minimun wage labors to carry the computers and charge the town $75 an hour. By the way April no one elected you so shut up during the meetings. You were upset boo hoo do you job properly and write a good bid request and we would not have these problems. You should have had a specific amount of computer copiers, etc. listed to be moved and requested a set price. Take some pride do your job,and sit there speaking only when spoken to. This all would of been avoided if the original bid was done write rather then in the fashion it was to hide the true cost of the project. DON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN

Well said!!!!! And ditto on for April; if she didn't have all the information needed to do a proper bid request why didn't she make sure she got it. Seems to me someone is out to get someone and someone is full of themselves.
And prevailing wages.....that would be doing things the right way....our town is stuck doing things the Hammonton First way; but it's oh so positive isn't it.

This is a typical HF move give ther friends jobs, give their properties curb and sewer and stick the towns people with the bill. The last special meeting was about the park. Hf pays ARH $15,000 of tax payer money to draw a pretty picture. My mistake the picture they took was when one of the beautiful people were on a mountain vacation. It is all a lie they can't do any of the proposed plans at the lake it is a wetlands buffer zone. Barberio or what ever his real name is has egg on his face for that one.
I question the legality of the bid they awarded. Who will be there to keep track of the time to move the computers. I guess the mayor will hire his cousin who he couldn't put in Lance's job. People of Hammonton open your eyes!!! These guys are in it for themselves and they don't even try to hide it. HF will give you rotten vegetables for your vote. Give your vote to the Democrats and they will give you a Honest and legitimate town government.
Why does any of this surprise anyone. This guy works for the Mayor on all of his projects and the Mayor wanted to get him extra work. They put out an RFP. This guy sends back a proposal that comes no where near matching the RFP but they award the contract to the Mayor's guy anyway. This is how they have done everything since they got in office.
WHO CARES? THE HOSPITAL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! WHO CARES ABOUT THIS! SAVE OUR HOSPITAL!
Enough already. The problem with the hospital is within. Get rid of the dead weight, the ship is sinking. If the workers in the hospital aren't treated right why would a patient expect to be treated any better. It's a disgrace that hospital employees have been treated poorly.
What a surprise, we see this tactic all the time from the mayor and the rest of the HF bullies. When they can't address a challenging issue or question directly with any real answers - they redirect the attention away from the issue by attacking some meaningless element of the issue without really dealing with the difficult questions. Someone wants to shut down the discussion here. Ask yourself why? The HF crew is getting more desperate everyday.
I am sure we can all remember how the Hammonton First Mayor and Council awarded the old town hall building work to the Mayor's cousin. What a shady bidding arrangement that was. Break up the work in to so many smaller contracts just to give the work to a few pre-selected contractors including his cousin. Oh and what happened when the Mayor's cousin wanted more money to complete the work he was already contracted to do for a fixed price. Yes, boys and girls that is right they just gave him more money. It is just that easy when you are King, I mean Prince John and you have the "I Know Everything Ed" to argue the point until everyone is completely exhausted from just listening to him go on and on and on and on saying really nothing until no one can even remember the question.
How arrogant. Once again, a Firster tries to bamboozle a point by throwing out something totally unrelated "THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS THE HOSPITAL."
That's a bunch of crap. The hospital is important, but its not the be all and end all of Hammonton. I pay taxes all year long. I have to use the roads every day. My children use the public school system.
So you know what you arrogant (deleted)? The hospital isnt the only issue in Hammonton. And if it was, your party would have been a miserable failure. It's a private company, with no ties to the public government. On top of that, noone in your political party actually did a thing to help the hospital besides sticking ugly yard signs around town to give the false impression that everything was "OK."
Then, the mayor would march board members up at Town Council meetings to tell everyone that "hospital is great," and "everything will be okay." Was it okay? NO. Half the place is shut down, and the other half is falling apart. The only thing that works at the hospital is the employees, and they're the ones getting the biggest shaft of all.
So, just because the Mayor attended a bankruptcy hearing in Camden doesn't make him Sir Lancealot of Kessler. Yeah, everyone hopes it survives, but we go on and deal with the rest of our lives as well.
Now, as for the IT contract fiasco, that was some of the most blatant political hackery I've witnessed. To actually threaten fellow councilmembers by saying, "Well, you can vote no, but you'd be stopping PROGRESS," as if "PROGRESS" was the vaccine to cancer, is a disgrace to the office.
Furthermore, watching contractors threaten Councilpeople that he "won't be stopped," is blatant disregard for the rule and spirit of law, and the power of the public to control our destiny. No man is an island.
Town Council shouldn't have to look like Senate Hearings over Iraq's progress.

You're comments show that you think the hospital can only be solved by politicians. The problem with the hospital has been management. The hospital can only be saved if we get more sick and go to Kessler plain and simple. I haven't need to go to the hospital in decades. Are we to flood Kessler if we have a paper cut or have a simple cold. Most of the procedures I've needed in my life couldn't be done at Kessler. Kessler needs new management and the Foundation should have completed the enlargement of the emergency room. Many have donated towards that and now that money is gone.

Everyone had different priorities. Stopped implying that nobody cares about the hosptial. The people of Hammonton have been let down by Kesslers administration. There are many challenges ahead with all our money going to the war. To think that as the Republicans continue to send money to build hospitals in Iraq as casualties there increase while there is very little done to save small non-profit hospitals. Healthcare has not been a priority at all during the Bush Administration. That's why hospitals like Kessler are going bankrupt. Even downtown Vineland lost it's hospital as there is a push for Regional hospitals.

HAHAHA! So you blame Bush for Kessler closing? Now, I can see if you blame him for eating oil-soaked babies or causing World War III or crashing planes into the Twin Towers, but now he actually had a hand in doing in Kessler? Break out your tinfoil hats folks!

It's amazing that all the Democrats want to do is bash and still cannot come up with any specific projects that they can commit to doing if elected. They cannot even commit to specific help for the hospital, for pete's sake!
You seem to forget that anyone can post on here, but if it's something you don't like you blame it on the Democrats. Use your head and stop pointing fingers. You claim you want unity, yet you are the one throwing blame around, accusing the Dems of bashing, and causing the gigantic rift in the town. We have plenty of plans for when we get elected. There are preliminary issues already on the website and more info is coming as we get farther into the campaign. And what did anyone in government do about the hospital? Hammonton First did nothing. They lent moral support but the courts and private business have done everything, like it should be.
Hammonton First does nothing but bash, that's all they know. They take credit for everything and do nothing. Why were the campaigning on school property tonight? Why do they lie? They did nothing to save a hospital, it's called lip service. It's all good if you listen to them, what new grants have they gotten since they took office, the answer is simple.......none.Why din't they sweep our streets for nearly a year? Why does April now call the shots in town hall? Town government is now a joke, but it's all good.
I hope that HF wins in november so they can reap what they planted. The problem is the joke is on us. I have a feeling that there is no more surplus, all the sewer and water accounts have been drained, so where do we go from here? The answer will be huge tax increases, I can only hope that HF is there for that. If not the firsters will bash and blame everyone else. But let us not forget they have truly got everything they planned to do, a town hall down town , free sewer repairs along with new sidewalks , with water for their plants, for all of their downtown stores. All at a cost to you. And now 650.00 trees, isn't that just sweet? If they can get more for themselves in the next few months they surely will. They have a new bumper sticker, "all for us none for you".Let's hope that it all changes soon.
Yeah, the Dems live to tax people. That's why they run for office!
You're an idiot!!!
If you want to control spending, you would first vote to get rid of the Firsters and the Republs. The Firsters spent a whole lot of money trying the chief for no reason. The Repubs promised us a tax break that we never got, but if you want to blame taxes, you better pick a Democrat!!!
Please take a minute to think about this.........ok Time is up.........the Dems spent the least amount of tax dollars in the past 5 years.
Time to vote for the real conservatives.....time to vote Dems!!!!!!!!!!!

Hammonton voters sent a message last Nov. but I guess the HF crew is just too arrogant to listen.

Too much for a bumber sticker - the HF team slogan should be:
LIES BIG AND SMALLL - WE HAVE THEM FOR ALLvote hammontonfirst
At the 9/10 council meeting, you could see once again how HF does not like to be questioned. Just accept what they say as being gospel, vote with them, and don't ask questions. When questions were being asked, acting Mayor Wuillermin actually stopped all discussion and called for a vote. He said that if they didn't pass this vote they would be halting progress on the Town Hall. So in other words he stopped the discussions that would get everyone the answers they needed but then made anyone who voted no feel guilty for stopping the project. Why are they so afraid of questions??? The other troubling issue is that after the Mayor arrived at the meeting and allowed discussion to continue, the Republicans, except for Vitalo, jumped on board and voted with HF even though the questions and concerns were never addressed.
The $75/hour clause was accepted by council, but it still is not clarified. "Systems for You" can come in to help move equipment at $75/hr any way he wants. He could provide 10 people and do these moves quickly or he could hire one guy with no knowledge just to move equipment and still get $75/hr. With 10 guys it would obviously be cheaper because it would be done quicker, but since we are paying $75/hr no matter how long it takes, the opportunity exists for some major cost overuns. Mr. Vitalo was the only one who stuck to his principles and realized that this project should have been bid like any other project with a total cost rather than a per hour rate.
Did everyone hear "Mayor April" complain how the discussion was giving her a headache?
Now the Dems are bashing town employees? Instead of helping to deal with the most important public safety issue in Hammonton right now... keeping the hospital open... the Dems are attacking the town employees.
Just like you to make accusations without any proof. That post was anonymous and no one knows who put it up. As a matter of fact it might have been you that put it up just so that you could accuse the Dems.

Why aren't the Democrats doing anything to support the hospital? Is it because they are getting instructions from a certain member of the AtlanticCare board of directors? Does AtlanticCare want the hospital closed so we are forced to drive all the way down the shore in an emergency?
The Democrats are helping the hospital. We have signs on our lawns. We are lending our support where appropriate. We are keeping current on the proceedings in court. This is one of the most important issues facing our Town right now. We will continue to support and offer our assistance.

It is good to see the Democrats rallying behind the mayor's efforts to save the hospital. We don't want the same guys who hurt the school and are now on AtlanticCare's board of directors to force our hospital to close.
I didn't realize the former Governor of the State of New Jersey is on the Atlanticare board. That is who hurt the schools by refusing to fund them according to the law. The current Governor and legislature has confirmed that. They have given the districts that have been hurt the most a lot of extra money to try and help make up for the lost funds. The Governor has started the process of revising the funding formula to make it more fair for the taxpayers while still living up to the obligation of educating our children. And for the record, there was an offer on the table by Atlanticare earlier to buy the hospital and keep it open, but the board just looked the other way which is why we are still concerned about our hospital today.

Corzine also capped the Abbot school funding at a 4% increase from last year, which freed up some money for schools in middle-income communities like Hammonton.

Screw the hospital it's in the crapper and once you leave the ER you are in hell in a new world of hell. It's beyond help and it's not up to the average joe in this town to fix it. The foundation is not the answer; the foundation and board of directors need to get out of the way and let an actual company purchase it and run it the way they see fit. Beyond that, get ready to drive to ACMC Mainland Division.

The hospital needs more then just more people going to it. It needs to be able to compete. That's something that it hasn't been able to do in today's market society, that's why many hospitals nationwide are going bankrupt under George Bush. Healthcare hasn't been a priority in the U.S. for many years. Now it is 2nd after the War in Iraq. If we had Universal Healthcare, hosptials like Kessler would stay open. It was George Bush who pushed for Regional hospitals resulting in hundreds of small hospitals nationwide closing. Looks like ACMC Mainland has been slated as our Regional hospital by the Bush Administration.
This showboating mayor will do or say anything to be in the spotlight. His save the hospital rhetoric sounds good on the surface but underneath the slogans lies very little substance and even less real action. It's all sizzle and no sausage.
This Mayor is a joke. The Hammonton First Puppet master really got himself a well trained monkey. It is a shame how the HFers have ruined there families names. At least Chrisitine saw through the smoke and mirrors and cut the strings.
I guess since Bobby Capoferri is on the AtlanticCare board of directors, the Democrats will do nothing to help the hospital. They'll just attack the Mayor for trying to help the hospital.
A JOKE . IF you think zero taxes and all the progress and time this guy puts in is a JOKE. you must be fun at parties. A joke is all the missed opertunities the past m and c have let go by the wind.

It's been Republicans who caused the push for Regional Medical Centers causing hospitals like Kessler to go bankrupt. The problem with Kessler is that many have not been truthful out of fear of losing their jobs. Some of the hospital's wounds are self inflicted.Trends in health insurance and health care are working against Kessler. Democrats have been advocating a change in our healthcare system.
Competition between hospitals for the same patients is cutthroat. There are 3 larger hospitals systems nearby: Atlanticare, Viruta, and South Jersey Healthcare. All 3 have expanded and are getting bigger.
Lax federal and state oversight is encouraging ethically challenge administrators to cook their books when it comes to federal reimbursements.
Doctors, perhaps the most influential group after insurers, also are contributing to the problem. My doctor strongly encouraged me to do my tests elsewhere.
In the end, of course, it is the quality patient care that suffers the most. Seeing how Kessler's own workers are treated poorly it'll be awhile until I consider even getting a simple x-ray there let alone surgery. I wish we had real information instead of the staged chats. Instead we were told to not ask questions and just put up a lawn sign.

Right on! The mayor is a joke . He loves to get his picture taken and take credit for what other administrations have done. What grants have the town received in the last two year? Answer none. What happened to the community center? Answer, it was a lie. What has happened to the town deficit ? Answer it has tripled , oh thats right he inherited a surplus, now the intrest we pay exceeds the princ. I can't wait to see him squirm wehen Captian Thersaurus Wuillermin isnt't there to hold his hand. One last question, did he take credit for the tremendous job the school board has been doing, or did he personally get the state to keep the promise of schol funding? Answer he did nothing but take credit and pay for land we already owned.
A JOKE . IF you think zero taxes and all the progress and time this guy puts in is a JOKE. you must be fun at parties. A joke is all the missed opertunities the past m and c have let go by the wind.
I am glad to see that the hospital has a chance to survive. The Democrats have been bashing and posting the nasty stuff that the AC Press tried to accuse the hospital of. Looks like if he can save the hospital the mayor can help an excellent community resource.
The Foundation, the courts, and the people at the hospital have been working very hard to save the hospital, but the Mayor will take all the credit just like he has done with all the other projects he had nothing to do with.
The Democrats have not said ANYTHING bad about the hospital. Just the opposite, we have said how much we support having a hospital in our Town. We think and have said it is one of the most important issues facing our Town. Do you think you are helping yourself and your party by lying to the public about what we have said. You are just showing the public that you will go to any lengths, even lying, to accomplish your selfish goals.

You posted links to the AC Press article that the previous poster refered to. You were at least smart enough to take that whole thread down when you realized it blew up on you as concerned citizens wanted to save the hospital.
So allowing people to read information put out by a newspaper is wrong?
We made no comment on the information, we only posted it so that people could discuss it.
But we had to take it down because small minded people who don't like people being able to have intelligent discussions were being very beligerent on the thread.
Again it is proven that certain people in this Town do not like any questions being asked, they only want blind followers who praise but don't offer their opinions.
And as already stated many many times, the Democrats want to save a hospital here in Hammonton too. We have been very vocal in support of having a hospital here. It is one of the most important issues our town is facing.

This website is the ONLY source in Hammonton that references ALL MEDIA. This website links to newspapers, other local online information portals, Hammonton GOP and Hammonton First. Now that's what I call being OPEN and allowing people to discuss and share views. No one should blindly believe any newspaper just like no one should blindly follow a newspaper's political endorsements.

I have been reading this blog regularly for two years, and I have never seen the Dems bash any town employee. The Dems repeatedly support the police dept, the fire dept, the teachers, and all other town employees. The Dems are the only local political party to do so. The Republicans keep silent on everything. The Firsters love to create all sorts of trouble for town employees by trying to destroy the careers and lives of Lance and the Chief, by endangering the lives of town employees with the careless and illegal removal and dumping of asbestos, by cutting the budget of the Fire Department, by endangering the lives of our fine police officers by not adequately staffing the department, and by bashing our teachers and school board even after the Hammonton Public Schools are continuing to increase their test scores as mandated by Bushs under-funded No Child Left Behind Act.
The Dems have never bashed the hospital. Instead the Dems are one of the most vocal supporters of the hospital. Yes, the mayor gets his ugly mug in pictures with Hospital executives, but he is in the position to do so.The Dems have been in support of many plans which would keep the hospital open and the emergency room functioning.
The Dems have also been the only political party to actually map out actual plans for projects, using actual facts. The Republicans say they will cut taxes, and nothing happens. The Firsters say they will build a town hall and community center for under $5 million, and they lied.
The Dems lay everything out on the table for everyone to see and your sick and twisted ass spins everything.I guess you are scared that your party will become obsolete.Im actually surprised you care, after all Hammonton First did everything it wanted to dobuild a town hall in adjacent to Bellevue and increase property values for your own downtown properties while screwing every blue collar working class family in town..congratulations!
Take a picture at your next Hammonton First meeting, because after November we will never see those arrogant faces in the maroon shirts ever again.
I have an idea, why doesn't Hammonton First start their own blog to let the public know what is going on around town??
This way you can tell everyone how hard you are screwing us. You can tell us how much over budget town hall will be. Tell us yourselves that you lied about the community center. Tell us yourselves how much you cost the hard working Hammonton tax payers bytaking the chief to trial!

I really like the Hammonton First newsletter that goes out every week. If anyone would like a copy, they can even go to the Hammonton First website and send an email asking to be put on the list.
The nice thing about the newsletter is that it highlights all the positive things going on around town. I guess that is why the survey run on another blog show HF sweeping the election.

I've read the HF Newsletter, it's the best evidence to use against HF. Heck even the reference in their newsletter about the downtown benches proves them wrong.

I don't know what survey you're mentioning of but there is no way that Hammonton First is or will sweep anything. Those who were told to carelessly "Ride The Wave" got devastated in the Tsunami that crushed HF. The people of Hammonton have mandated an end to Hammonton First.
You can get your copy of the newsletter by going to www.hammontonfirst.com or emailing info@hammontonfirst.com. Maybe the Democrats should post it since they claim this is the media outlet that gives all the facts out.

It's no claim. You can see that Hammonton First has a link on the Democrats website. They even have one for the Republicans. I dare you to link the Democrats and Republicans on your website or are you afraid people will find out the truth about what's wrong with Hammonton First.
You can get your copy of the newsletter by going to www.hammontonfirst.com or emailing info@hammontonfirst.com. Maybe the Democrats should post it since they claim this is the media outlet that gives all the facts out. When has Hammonton First began to tell the truth?
Hammonton first claimed to have a case against the Chief, and they LIED.
Hammonton First also said they would build a community center, and they LIED.
Hammonton First also said they would build town hall for less than $4.9 million with the community center, and they LIED.
Hammonton First also LIED about the asbestos coverup in town hall. They also LIED about so called comtamination at the 11th St. site.
Hammonton First does not control the school board, so they are LYING by taking credit about no additional school taxes.
How much money did these LIES cost us taxpayers?
Enough LIES, Hammonton First. Do the world a favor and just go away!
Rather than just bash, why don't the Democrats agree to debate Hammonton First and discuss what specific projects they will do if elected?
Are the Democrats afraid their candidates can't handle the debate and can't think for themselves?
I remember when the Democrats were asking for a debate early on in this campaign and HF refused. Now they know they are in trouble so they are trying to turn the tables. They know they can't run on their record. They know they can't continue to take credit for all of the projects completed by the county, the state, or other administrations. They know they were a one issue party who failed to deliver on their only campaign promise. So they're back to handing out the farmers reject vegetables.
From the Hammonton First game playbook, The Big Lie, first coined by Adolf Hitler in his 1925 autobiography Mein Kampf, was made famous by Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister for the Third Reich. The idea was simple enough: Tell a whopper (the larger the better) often enough and most people will come to accept it as the truth. During World War II, the predecessor of the CIA, the Office of Strategic Services, described how the Germans used the Big Lie: "[They] never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."

Are the Democrats afraid their candidates can't handle the debate and can't think for themselves?
Sounds like the Dems are scared and don't want to step up.
The Dems have nothing to be scared of. It's Hammonton First while decreasing in numbers who see the increase and growth of the Democratic Party in Hammonton. I saw several Firsters steaming when they saw the Hammonton HQ downtown. The Dems last year though new helped defeat Hammonton First. This year with a much stronger ticket, many in Hammonton truly see the Democrats as the party that MUST win this year. Hammontonians have been fooled enough. This time they will get the change and OPEN government we truly need and want. Many were unhappy with the Republican party, especially the last few years. Hammonton First just happened to spawn at the right place and time. They forgot the part of being FOR THE PEOPLE instead of FOR THE HF CORPORATION PROFITS. Hammonton First is a textbook case of political parties gone wrong.
If anybody is running scared, it's HF. How come they have to send children door to door peddling their produce? Are they afraid of having people tell them what they really think, outside of their controled "forums" ? My vote is worth more than a bag of produce or any free meal and that goes for all three parties. HF needs to stop going behind the T.V.cameras at staged events and using town council meetings for the purposes of spreading your propaganda.
WHO CARES? THE HOSPITAL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! WHO CARES ABOUT THIS! SAVE OUR HOSPITAL!
This is the most important issue in Hammonton. What are the Democrats doing to help save the hospital?
"The Emperor Has No Clothes"
Is it not clear to everyone that the Kessler Foundation is really just a front for a real estate investment opportunity. The people behind this effort know that when the time is right the property value of the land owned by the Kessler Hospital will pay back the investors of this scheme big time.Follow the money!
WHO CARES? THE HOSPITAL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! WHO CARES ABOUT THIS! SAVE OUR HOSPITAL!
The Democrats have no plan to help the hospital so now they want to attack the people trying to save it. Democrats---if you have a better plan to get several million dollars into the hospital to turn it around, step up and go to the bankruptcy judge. The town needs the hospital.
We agree and have said many, many, many times that the hosptial is very important to Hammonton. This is one of the most important issues facing Hammonton right now. Why can't you accept the fact that we have agreed with you on this subject for a long time. Is it because it eliminates one of the things you can bash us about?

For years nothing ever got done in town. Take a look at the Democrats campaign ad in 2004, the year Amirrato and MacLane lost. It is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N44RwSarl5g.
The Democrats complained in their advertisement that the new town hall was going nowhere and streets weren't getting paved.
Now, with Hammonton First in office, the new town hall is underway, the sidelwalks were done, roads have been paved. Things are moving forward.
For years nothing ever got done in town. Take a look at the Democrats campaign ad in 2004, the year Amirrato and MacLane lost. It is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N44RwSarl5g. And most of the issues raised in the commercial still exist today. The Town Council is still split today, although we must say that on the important issues the Republicans seem to lack conviction and fall in line with HF and vote with them.
The Democrats complained in their advertisement that the new town hall was going nowhere and streets weren't getting paved.
Now, with Hammonton First in office, the new town hall is underway, Yes, and it doesn't have enough office space according to the professionals, no room to expand, less parking than we had before, and way over the budget promised to the town. the sidewalks were done, with the money and plans executed by previous administrations, all they did was finish what was already started roads have been paved, The only roads paved were by the state and the county with their own money, no new projects have been started. The next project they are doing on Elm & Cottag was also designed, funded and started by the previous council, they are only now getting around to finishing it.
Things are moving forward. Face it, HF campaigned on only one issue, to do the entire Town Hall project for $5.9 million to include all site work, furnishings, more parking, new community center, landscaping, and demolition of the old town hall. All we are getting for the $5.9 million is the building and it looks like that will be over budget too. All the rest, we are either not getting or it will cost us more than their campaign promise.
The Democrats complained in their advertisement that the new town hall was going nowhere and streets weren't getting paved. Well...the county and the state paved roads. How many did Hammonton First pave??????

Jimmy Curcio, Levinson and the Republicans paved our roads, vote Republican (Berenato, Pajic and Torrissi) to continue the progress.

Berenator and Pajic are lazy losers. Torrissi is a Curcio puppet. The Republicans are useless. We won't get fooled again! The Democrats are speaking out!
During the last council meeting on sept. 24, did you see the mayor's brother tell everyone that the computer company he and the mayor selected for the job will not be doing any of the computer wiring until after the building is completed next year.
What happened to his urgent need to get this work done?
It seems that the mayor's personal computer company either can not or will not meet the basic requirements for working on a union construction job site like every other contractor doing work on the new town hall.

I thought the plan was to have people support the hospital by going to it. Why are there people like you making this political? What we need are long term solutions not quick fixes that we've seen statewide in all small hospitals going bankrupt and closing. The online political solutions to Kessler is Universal Healthcare. The larger for profit hospitals are more competitive in services since they have large investors.

Just another con job from the HF con artists. Voters will not be fooled again!
Healthcare has not been a priority at all during the Bush Administration. That's why hospitals like Kessler are going bankrupt.
HAHAHA! So you blame Bush for Kessler closing? Now, I can see if you blame him for eating oil-soaked babies or causing World War III or crashing planes into the Twin Towers, but now he actually had a hand in doing in Kessler? Break out your tinfoil hats folks!
It is amazing some of the insanity the Dems want us to believe.

There's so much insanity caused by HF that the public is now aware of. From the KKK, asbestos coverup, chiefgate, taking credit for other's work, etc. There's nothing that surprises me anymore in Hammonton. So yes the Dems do want people to learn about the HF insanity.

The Bush admistration has given money to for-profit hospitals to expand and become REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTERS. Kessler was not selected. The designations went to Vineland, Camden and Atlantic City.
Bush constantally vetos bill that will provide health care for poor children. With the Republicans, the party that ran on "Moral Values" in 2000 and in 2004, this should be unacceptable.
More children are without health care now in America than ever before, thanks to Bush and the Republicans. America has the more uninsured people than anywhere else in any industrialized country.....what kind of moral values are these???
Did you ever think that if more people were insured, Kessler wouldn't be in this proplem. We are all footing the ER bills of these uninsured people, leaving Kessler and all small hospitals all over the United States in quite a pickle.
I'll never vote Republican again. Their policies are hurting small towns are working class people all over the US.
With the Republicans, the party that ran on "Moral Values" in 2000 and in 2004, this should be unacceptable. The Party of "Moral Values" turned into the party of War, Bigotry, Sodomy, Pedophilia, Fear Mongering, Hypocrisy and Greed.did I miss anything????
How can anyone vote Republican with a clear conscience anymore?
It is unacceptable what Bush did to smaill town America. I'll never vote Republican again. These "Republicans" are the 29% that actually think Bush is doing a good job.
