Maybe the Republicans and Democrats should switch meeting places since the entire Republican club can now fit in a phone booth and the Democratic Club is growing.

well let me tell you this. If i had jimmy d's track record I would be proud too. The dems and reps are done, stick a fork in them. Hf will retain all 4 seats. No if ands or butts about it!!!! you can talk all you want , No New taxes and lower debt, for four years.

Ok 4 elections and four wins not to bad what can the reps and dems say about that. and oh yeah his team lowered debt and DID NOT RAISE TAXES. ! read the real papers eveywhere else its layoffs furloahs and huge increases, NOT IN HAMMONTON. it's just zero taxes and lower debt.

His team has divided Hammonton. He staged a Unity Day and 30 people showed up.

HAMMONTON -- Town officials unveiled a preliminary $12.2 million preliminary budget Mayor John DiDonato says will keep the town running in a fiscally responsible manner while keeping in mind the concerns of taxpayers.

The town's surplus has increased while its debt has been reduced, DiDonato said during last week's Town Council meeting. He credited a "fiscal model" developed in 2006 by the town's Fiscal Oversight Committee.
However, DiDonato cautioned, layoffs and furloughs remain a possibility if the town's fiscal situation warrants.
"This budget assumes that all council members and department heads will scrutinize every penny spent," he said. "This budget also reflects an attempt to retain current staffing.
"However, should by the middle of the year departments begin approaching levels near pro-rated appropriations or revenues begin not to bounce back, furloughs and/or layoffs will be needed to balance the budget."
Only one promotion -- that of a police sergeant -- will take place in 2009, DiDonato said. Overtime pay will be restricted to emergency personnel.
DiDonato noted the town's budget has been reduced over the past three years. Last year's municipal budget was $12.33 million, while the 2007 spending plan was $12.34 million.
"However, what we are seeing is a reduction in revenue," DiDonato said. "Our surplus is receiving less interest .... That was a substantial hit with interest rates going from 5 or 6 percent to 1 or 2 percent.
"We're also seeing less revenue coming into the town clerk's office, water and sewer accounts, all of the departments," he added.

Four years in a row of the town holding the line on taxes. Also, it seems the school is going to come in with a zero tax increase. The mayor's program to help them out that first year so they could properly charge Waterford their tuition really worked well.

It looked like Hammonton had more people at the Atlantic County convention then any other town and had both Curcio and Torrissi up on the stage. Hammonton looks strong in the county and was placed up front with Chris Christie occupying the front seat. It is a great year to be a Republican in Hammonton, so forget the rumors and just talk to us Nov 4th.

Was this after Curcio voted to increase taxes on the county level?

Notice Curcio was not on stage with his local Hammonton Ticket. I guess it would be awkward for HF to be there with him.

The GOP has not finalized a ticket for the local...so what are you trying to spin? Hammonton was not the largest group at the convention because EHT, Hamilton and Galloway were there in full force. Hammonton did have 26 club members in attendance and was seated up front with Mays Landing people.

Although I supported Steve Lonagan, I am more than willing to support Chris Christie against Jon Corzine. It was great to see so many people turn out for the convention. Keith Davis deserves alot of credit allowing everyone to have a vote for the GOP governor. Having an open convention and letting people vote is the way to go to attract more club members.

This is by far the largest group Hammonton has ever had attend a county convention since Frank LoBiondo defeated Bill Gormley in the primary for the congressional seat.

I think Hammonton had 28 people in attendance, 26 not counting the two people who were seated at the front table. Angie Rodio is the secretary for the Atlantic County Republican Party and Alan Littlefield is the council for the Atlantic County Republican Party.

I did not know that Hammonton was so well represented on the county level. I also saw a picture of Levinson sitting in the chair holding the Hammonton sign.
