Mayor Didonato said on NJ101.5 to the "Jersey Guy's " he is going to cut officer Haggerty a personal check for the $5,600.00. Did he write the check out? What a why to start off a benefit..

I sure hope teh police Chief and the Mayor wrote out their checks. They said they would. I think the chief said no one on his force would ever suffer a shortfall. Good for him and good for them. let's all pray for pete to be back to work soon.

If every police officier in Hammonton would donate $150.00 dollars each, their fellow officier would be more than compensated for the $6000.00 in lost wages.

Stop the politics, the local police officiers are more than willing to write a check for $150.00 each to take care of their fellow officier.

We are not looking for handouts.

Yes it is being overblown but what pissed me off is someone wrote that the cop is "not one of our own, he doesn't live here." Have your ever heard anything so stupid and backward in your life? No he doesn't live here but he just might save your life one day. So I wonder if that is why there is all this controversy-because he is not from here

The chief is not playing politics, if you really know the chief he would give you the shirt of his back. He protects and stands behind every officer to the best of his ability and stands up for what he believes is right.

The mayor & mr. do dilgence and Sgt. Z are playing politics against the chief. They are all trying to get him out. Where can you find a place where Sgt. Z can push around another sergeant and make accusations about him and still have a job.

Oh that is were council is standing behind their man.

That's were the politics (lie).

By your own statement, You've just proven that people are out to get the chief. The chief is a great man. It appears that Hammonton First is still mad over losing their case against the chief.

Why does the Hammonton First political party keep attacking the Police Dept? First, Hammonton First falsely accused a police dept secretary of throwing them out of the lake park when they engaged in political activity there. Then we had Councilwoman Petrongolo's Aunt falsely accuse the secretary and a police officer of throwing her and her grandson out of the park during a July 4th celebration. Next there was Mayor DiDonato and Councilman Colasurdo falsely accusing the Chief of dereliction of duty. That one was thrown out of court and Mayor DiDonato and Councilman Colasurdo were found not to be credible. Now the Mayor and Hammonton First Council members are again taargeting the police department. This time in denying a cancer stricken police officer from having fellow officers donate sick time to him, as he recovers from surgery. Why is the Mayor and his party so afraid of the police dept. that they repeatedly harass them? What do they have to hide?

Zero tax increases four years in a row for municipal, three years in a row for the school

Officer Haggerty getting every penny of his salary due to the fundraiser and disability along with 100% benefits

I guess the bashers need to make up something to complain about because the truth isnt what they like.

Zero tax increase for 3 years at the school. That must be why my son's 10th grade class had NO teacher 2 Mondays ago. they sat there, no teacher, no sub, no nothing. Finally a woman who is an aide to a handicapped child took it upon herself to call down to the office to see what was going on. They told her there was no sub for that class. So she stayed in the room for the period. Interestingly enough, in another class of his the teacher had them watch a movie for the period but for some reason there was an aide in the classroom also. They spent the period watching the movie, she spent it answering her phone and loudly screaming at someone on the phone. Nice job school board and only for $75.00 per day! What a bargain. What an education.

The school makes many mistakes you just don't hear about because you obviously 1) don't have kids in the school or 2) they don't tell you anything and you probably don't ask them because you are too busy on the blogs. Or maybe, IT'S ALL GOOD!!!!!!!!! It has been reported to the Board on more than one occasion about the recent hiring of a slew of 19 year old girls whose only requirement is to know how to text message and access Facebook when sitting in the classrooms earning
$75.00 of your tax dollars per day. I hear they allow the kids to also text message and listen to IPODs, but they cannot actually make phone calls. Yep, real classy indeed. Let's hope the new Super cleans house or the schools will go the way of the hospital. Run into the ground by greed.

That is GREAT that there is going to be a fund raiser for officer Haggerty. But did mayor Didoneto cut a check for the $5,600.00 like he said he would on the "JERSEY GUY'S"? All you guy's have a LOT to say, but your not saying anything about the mayor opening his mouth and sticking his feet in it ( on the radio )!!!!! Face fact's it is time for HF to go. They think they are better then everybody else. It take's people like the DEMOCRATS to stand-up for the people in Hammonton. I guess Didoneto is going to buy 224 ticket for the beef & beer ( 224x$25.00=$5,600.00).
