Mayor and Council Continue to keep Hammonton Taxpayers in the Dark
Permalink

Hammonton, New Jersey Despite two OPRA requests, numerous questions at Council meetings and a state inquiry, the Mayor and Council still have not provided any grant information or the project plan for the proposed satellite campus.  Mayoral Candidate Joseph Ingemi stated,

First, let me say that my request to the state is not a lawsuit.  There is no court action or litigation involved despite what the subject-changers and rumor-mongers are trying to tell people.  I asked the state to help me get the information that the Mayor and Council are denying the taxpayers.

The Mayor and Council once again think they are exempt from answering the concerns of the citizens of Hammonton and that the law does not apply to them.  In an interview, the Mayor implied that citizens should be honored with this proposed project and not question it.  He talked about getting more grants yet he has never identified those grants.  I just hope that should these grants really exist, he or whoever is actually leading this project, remembers to make copies of the applications and provide them to the Town Clerk.  He said that there were no costs to the taxpayer currently in place.  What about the costs that will be accrued in the months and years to come?  It is time for a town government as good as the people of Hammonton.  It is time for government that is accountable to the people.

The Hammonton Democrats are running this year on a platform that emphasizes economic development, smarter spending and greater government accountability. For more information on the candidates and their platform, visit www.hammontondems.org.

Instead of spreading vicious rumors that this is a lawsuit, I wish they could just give us straight answers on Stockton.  Who do they think they are?

Thank Goodness, Joe Ingemi is exposing HF for what they are.  It is time we have someone who look for us.

You shouldn't be scared of Joe unless you are deceiving the taxpayers and refuse to have true open government.  There are many who can't handle the truth, they shouldn't be scared though. We need honesty in government.

I have to tell you, Ingemi appears bright & articulate in his writing. But I do want to know, why hasn't Ingemi or the other Democrats done any community service? Would it not serve us better to have those who have done things in the community running for office? I just don't feel comfortable having people running for office who haven't been heard of !!!  Except for Mike Ammirato.

Here's a question for you... HF candidates never did any community service and had no experience in politics and didn't even belong to a political group! They were just pulled off the streets lied to the people and got elected! They may say they done this or that but they are actually taking credit for what others have done they just put their name to it. That's really starting to piss people off. They continue to lie to the people and most people are to stupid to know the difference. What's up with all these awards they are giving out? They remind me of the Kessler board members that's what they used to do. We all know what happened to Kessler!

I think that serving the military counts as service.  But I guess for HF, community service is only working for one of their rich people's causes.

Hammonton First says that they will bring Hammonton a Brighter future but in reality they're keeping Hammonton taxpayers in the Dark.

It's time to put the lights out...its' time to say good by to Steve and company. You can always tell when they (steve) are lying...their lips are moving. They are for Themselves First. Ask them just what streets they have paved, what services they have expanded, ask them to tell the truth about the Attorney Generals' findings, ask Steve why is he afraid to debate? They will not answer you. They are screwing all of Hammonton. Why are the taxpayers buying the garage on Egg Harbor Road...there is no open government here...how about the real cost of the boat house or town hall for that matter.

It's nice to see that several lawns on my way home that had a Republican signs now have a Democrat sign.  If we can just get some of those Hammonton First supporters to make the switch but I know that is very unlikely.  It's obvious that Joe Ingemi is the best candidate for mayor.  We need more Republicans to think with their heads and remember the big picture.  We need the leadership that Joe will provide.

Many people were intimidated into putting up HF signs however they privately said they WILL NOT VOTE FOR HF!

Does anyone ever really listen to what is said or actually comprehend what they read?  Joe Ingemi stated that he did not file a lawsuit...he just wants his questions answered.

Many Voters can't handle the truth.  If they knew the truth about Hammonton First then more and more people would be outraged.
