Good for Rich...he must really be ticking off Hammonton First for them to get on this blog to try to criticize for him.

Just a suggestion though for future blog posts.  Try to be a little more clever.  I didn't find it particularly funny or sarcastic.  Also, the more you write about him, the more people will want to read what he has to say.

All Hammontonians should read what Rich writes each week.  He is leading the Democrats and should be on their ticket.  He and Joe Ingemi have writtten many times that the people of Hammonton don't know whatr they are doing and have sold their vote for a bag of rotten veggies.

Why don't you post this week's letter?  He says the people should vote on Stockton. He said to let the people decide the same thing Jim Donio said about the Town Hall site.

'Let the people decide' the best site for Stockton

To the editor:

The old saying goes something like: "Deceive me once, shame on you. Deceive me twice, shame on me!"

As I see it, the first deceit was the new Town Hall. Remember the slogan: "$5.9 at Central and Vine!" The voters believed that slogan, except that the $5.9 more than doubled by the time construction was finished!

Now these same people are telling us that a Stockton location "downtown" won't cost the taxpayers one cent! Let's see, unless the town's solicitor, Brian Howell, is working for free, then all his work on the Stockton project thus far has been paid by the taxpayers ... and I'm sure it comes to more than "one cent!"

At a time when the new governor has declared war on lobbyists and grants have all but dried up, Hammonton is hiring a lobbyist to get grants! Who do you think will pay for the lobbyist? The taxpayers, of course! Is this deceitful? What do you think?

But hey, maybe I'm being overly harsh. So in the spirit of goodwill, I'm going to offer a quote from 2005, spoken in front of council, relative to the placement of a new Town Hall.

The speaker was none other than James Donio, who is now the official "downtown advocate" and appears to be the driving force behind getting Stockton to locate "downtown."

To quote Mr. Donio: "Let the people decide!"

So now, Mr. Donio, it's time to live by your own words! Let the people decide if Stockton should use the high school at absolutely no cost to the taxpayers of Hammonton, or if Stockton should be located "downtown," with the associated costs of purchasing a building, renovations, remunerations, site work, furnishings, etc., at a possibly total cost of between $3 million and $5 million.

Stop operating in the shadows. What are you hiding? Let the people decide where Stockton should be located! Put this in a referendum for the voters to decide!

And to Town Council: Support this initiative to put a Stockton choice on the ballot. Prove to us all that you're not the puppets of the "downtown" building owners! And if you don't, or if you've already approved a letter of intent with Stockton without a public hearing, then we'll know you only represent the wealthy "downtown" property owners. And as such, you should all resign!

Put this on the ballot, Mr. Donio.

You expected others to live by your words. Now it's your turn to live by those same words!

Let the people decide!

THIS SURE DOES SHOW THAT ALL THE NEGATIVE NONSENSE RICH JACOBUS WRITES IS SUPPORTED BY THE DEMOCRATS.

THEY'VE EVEN CALLED THE PEOPLE OF HAMMONTON "STUPID" IN THEIR LETTERS!
