THE HAMMONTON DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES DID NOT AND WILL NOT INTERVIEW WITH THE HAMMONTON GAZETTE. WE REFUSE TO BE INTIMIDATED AND COERCED INTO A BIASED INTERVIEW WHICH WILL HIDE THE TRUTH FROM THE PEOPLE OF HAMMONTON. WE HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE! THE HAMMONTON DEMOCRATS ARE NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE. THE HAMMONTON DEMOCRATS ARE NOT AFRAID TO REPRESENT THE PEOPLE. THE HAMMONTON DEMOCRATS WILL REPRESENT ALL THE PEOPLE, NOT JUST THE ELITE.

SEE OUR STATEMENT CONCERNING THE GAZETTE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION-CLICK HERE

Do you agree with our decision not to speak to the Gazette?

Wow!  I understand the Democratic Campaign Chairperson Jim MacLane was offering to throw his candidates under the bus.  Here is what he wrote on his own blog, which earlier in the campaign season was featured on a link from this website.

The Deal that never was: Editorial of the week.

As mentioned above, the purpose of this site is to give political perspective. We are not alligned with any party and since we do not agree with any of the local parties, that is not too hard to do.

That said, we find it politically shocking that the Democrats and Republicans were unable to forge a deal that so many thought was obvious. We have received emails from both Democrats and Republicans expressing outrage with their respective leaders.

The deal was simple. The Democrats forgo the local elections and support the Republican candidates. In return, the Republicans would support Falcone for Freeholder. While most Republicans seem eager to dump Curcio, the Democrats believe they have a legitimate shot of winning Council seats in November. Not sure what local Dem leader John Brigandi is thinking, but obviously he is not being realisitic. This was a golden opportunity for unity in Hammonton.

This all but gives Hammonton First a free ride to November!

I am Jim Mac Lane and that blog was not mine. I used to read that blog too when it was active but you are saying those words are m ine and they are not. Just another blind accusation by the opposition, throwing darts and hoping that they stick. Well this one doesn't.

I stand by the Dem candidates and they have and continue to work very hard to win the votes.

The Democrats always felt that they are the party that will truly represent the working man in Hammonton. Why would they align themselves with years and years of Republicans in majority. If anything an argument could have been made that the Republicans should have foregone the election because the people wanted change and voted for HF last year. Now they can get the change they truly seeked and voted for the Democrats. I would never expect any party to give up. I'm glad the Democrats are a new revitalized club with fresh new faces. It's insane to elect the same people and expect something different.

This must have either been the dumest strategy possible OR ELSE it was a brilliant plan for the Democrats to throw their own candidiates under the bus.

There needs to be major changes in the Democratic Party is they ever want to get anyone elected.

I like how the Democrats stick to their principles.  We all know that the Gazette has nothing to offer anyone other than Hammonton First.  The Democrats keep a good open dialogue with the Press and the News.  The Dems also broke a lot of stories that the Gazette would never cover.  The Democrats have always stood up for what they believe in, while the Republicans just stay quiet.

You are right. The Republicans promised a tax cut and they are already backing down from it. Teypromised the Democrats commitee seats and they lied about that to. Now the Republicans are going to turn their back of the Chief. It is time for the Democrats to speak out against that two faced liar, Jimmy Bertino!
