Read the following story from the Star Ledger by clicking on the link.

Corzine has given up for this year on finding a funding formula for school aid.
Supposedly we will see an increase in funding for this year.

We need to find a better way to fund our schools.  Hopefully we all agree that an education is the best investment one can make, but how do you pay for it?????

Rendell is asking for a higher state income tax, so he can lower property taxes.  This will result in retired couples, who are living off of Social Security, paying little or no school tax; while couples with two full time incomes pay more school tax.

In Norway, they pay a 25% sales tax to fund schools and healthcare.  The only exceptions to that tax: Food (12.5%) and Books (no tax on books!).  Norway was also reconized as the 2nd best place to live in the world.

Which is better???

Democrats love to raise taxes. Thankfully, they have no seats in Council anymore!

What world are you living in?  Hammonton First raised taxes by the new landlord tax.

Clinton lowered taxes on working class America.

How the hell do you think we can afford a 25% sales tax? Are you nuts?

The Democrats want to tax and spend us into the poor house!

We need more Republicans in Trenton!

I'm not saying I want higher sales tax.  I am asking you where do you think school tax should come from.

We see how the Republicans destroyed this country, the last thing we need in Trenton are more Republicans.

Whitman left this state $5 Billion in debt.  It will take decades to recover from that!

We all seen how the Rupublicans destroyed the economy.  More Americans living in poverty now than ever before, more children without healthcare in the country than in any other civilized country in the world.

Bush's tax cuts for the rich really helped out the working man, didn't it.
