If the proposed budget holds after reviews by the members of Council and all Town Committeees and Commissions, there will be no raise in taxes in Hammonton this year. As a matter of fact, with the County rate going down, we should see a decrease in our taxes. Of course, now statrts the scrutiny of the budget. Preliminary numbers show that even though our Town is growing, the police department is being reduced by one officer. Retirees at the Public Works dept are being replaced. No new road projects are being proposed. No grants are being received by the Town. The school regains control of the middle school fields by paying $120,000 a year over 13 years. Current projects ongoing in Town will be completed. As more information becomes available on the budget we will let you know.
Preliminary numbers show that even though our Town is growing, the police department is being reduced by one officer. Why is it that only the Democrats are concerned about public saftey. Doesn't this affect all residents? Hammonton First will have one less officer to patrol all their businesses along Bellevue.
Hammonton First and their backers dislike the Chief and therefore don't believe anything police and public safety is necessary. To bad if the rest of us in this town want to be kept safe. By the way, that entire council meeting last night seemed like a scripted television show lead by Wuillerman. Does our mayor have no voice or thoughts of his own?
Jimmy Bertino just wants to give out our money and waste it. He and the Republicans are pushing for more spending which will increase our taxes. His AC Press interview is old school, special interest politics as usual. Thankfully, Hammonton First has already gone on record that they are against a tax increase!

Hammonton will be the only town in the state with no tax increase for both the town and school this year.
What an achievement!
The bottom line is that Hammonton is further divided than ever in its history. HF tyranny has affected many of our volunteers and local organizations because HF takes credit for the hard work done by others and that have nothing to do with politics. The bottom line is that HF has shown that they are not capable of working with town employees. The bottom line is that we've already seen too many unnecessary mistakes and cost increases of the town hall project because of the bidding practices they're using. Has Hammonton ever suffered so much negativity in such a short time. We now have hate groups coming to Hammonton, is that something HF calls achievement. We now have pot holes on our new roads- Is that achievement!
The News wrote a great editorial om how well the town and school's budgets are being managed. We are really very fortunate in Hammonton to have taxes not increase at both the town and school.

We are real fortunate in Hammonton to have the Hammonton Democrats who are not afraid to speak for the people and not be afraid to ask questions.
