They have wasted our money. All because they don't like the Chief. Just because the Chief wouldn't be one of their puppets. Good for you Chief. You stood up to them and won.
The money they spent so far is almost the salary of a starting police officer. They'll throw away our money when it supports their personal goals, but won't even look at ensuring the public safety.
The chief had everything to lose. The mayor and RC had nothing to lose. They know they think they can get away with anything in this town. If people don't speak up more like the Democrats have then HF will try to fool us more. I won't get fooled again, anymore, not ever again. Enough is enough.
Some of the bills for the Chief's hearing have come in. So far the bills from the hearing judge and the two attorney's totals $36,400. We still don't know the added costs caused by having the secretary's from the clerks office in the court room keeping court records, the additional cost for having them work on their normal day off(President's Day), the cost of having two officers in the court room, and the cost of having town employees standing by to testify. This was a personal vendetta by these two men and we may never know the full cost to the Hammonton taxpayers. The Democrats all along have called for the Mayor and Councilman Colasurdo to pay for these expenses themselves and now the Hammonton News agrees with us. Let you feelings be known. Call the Mayor (609) 567-4300, Extension 400 and Councilman Colasurdo (609) 567-4300, Extension 405 and let them know that you don't want to pay for their agendas. Or send them an email johndidonato@townofhammonton.org and rockcolasurdo@townofhammonton.org
The town certainly could have used this money more productively in many different ways.
Between these guys and Tom Costa's vendetta against Loretta Rehmann, Hammonton First has cost the taxpayers a whole lot of money. Instead of "For the People, Not the Politics" it should be "For the Power, Not the People".
