We have learned that Hammonton Firefighter Howard Macri received a new heart on Saturday night. He is not out of the woods yet, but is holding his own. He is still receiving transfusions and the Hammonton Fire Department is requesting that as many people as possible donate blood. There is a Howard Macri Benifit Blood Drive scheduled for this Friday, June 15th, from 2 PM till 8 PM at Fire Company #2 on the White Horse Pike. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are also available. Call 567-4330 and leave a message, machine is checked multiple times each day.
