At the 3/17 Council meeting Deputy Mayor Ed Wuillermin told two different stories, depending upon the situation. When the discussion concerned the Fiscal Oversight Committee, Mr. Wuillermin said that the design of any committee is for "looking over our shoulder, holding our feet to the fire to make sure we do our due diligence for the taxpayers of this town." But later in the meeting when the discussion turned to the Rent Control Board or the Shade Tree Commission, Mr. Wuillermin voted both times to abolish these committees. Earlier you will recall he was the driving force in abolishing the Municipal Utilities Authority Commission (MUAC). We don't see how he can have it both ways. The votes on all of these issues followed party lines at 4 Hammonton First votes in favor of abolishing and 3 Republican votes against. So it seems that Hammonton First is only willing to have their shoulders "looked over" when it is their idea, if they don't want to be watched they just abolish the watcher. It a great idea to use green bags. If Hammonton starts using them maybe every town will start demanding that there homeowners put their leaves in green to save the environment.
Hammonton First is just so innovative and great at thinking "outside the box".
Now that they got rid of the shade tree commission there won't be many trees left anyway.
How about a new poll. Which Hammonton Firster is the most outside the box?
A) John DiDonato B) Jerry Barberio C) Ed Wuillerman d) Tracy Perongol0 E) Don Didonato
JohnRodio is right. Picking up the leaves will cost all of us homeowners plenty extra. If Hammonton First gets out of the way and lets Lance do his job, the leaves will be picked up in an orderly fashion.
Sounds like another vendetta like the one against the police, it will end up costing us all more money in the end.
