Joe Ingemi enjoys the campaign and looks to the future of Hammonton

Dear Editor:

This campaign has been a tremendous journey for me.  I am humbled to have had the opportunity to speak with so many of you, the citizens of this great Town of Hammonton.  Our conversations about your hopes and dreams serve as a constant reminder of the fundamental goodness of this community.  Your warm and welcoming spirit made me feel more like member of the family rather than a candidate seeking elected office.  As I listened to each of you, I always found myself thinking that if Hammonton could have a government as decent as its people, there is no limit on that which we could achieve.

It has been your decency that has inspired me to speak truth to power and fight for our shared values.  We deserve a local government that listens to our ideas rather than dictate what we should think.  We deserve leadership that prizes hard work and sacrifice rather than greed and irresponsibility. We deserve a government that chooses the harder right over the easier wrong. We deserve a government that offers us hope rather than creating fear.

My team and I based our campaign on the idea that we can transform these shared values into action.  We can cast aside the elitists who tell us that this Town belongs to them.  We can ignore the carping critics who complain but do nothing when given the chance to make things better.  We can choose policies that prevent tax increases, fix our roads and infrastructure and create jobs.  We can choose leadership that reminds us that we are all in this undertaking together:  Republican, Democrat, and Independent, Italian and Latino, old and young, rich and poor.  Everyone has something to contribute.

On November 3rd, you will have the opportunity to have your voice heard.    Your vote can be a force for change.  Your decision can set us on the path of community renewal where the promise of the future belongs to all of us.

Lets make the right choice.

Joseph Ingemi

Democratic Candidate for Mayor

Hammonton

I'm a vet and am proud of any man or woman who served.  The military is a noble and honorable profession and have a better track record of taking care of its people that the civilian work place.  Joe is the right guy for mayor.  I wish I had a superior officer like him leading me when I was in the service.  He's direct and most importantly has the strongest integrity.

I'd like to thank you Mr. Ingemi for coming to my door the other night and taking a moment to introduce yourself.  It was nice to have a candidate listen ask what are some of things I'd like in my neighborhood which happens not to be Bellevue Ave.   It was nice that you didn't sneak into my yard toss a bag of crap and run.    You made lots of points with me just for doing that.

Council meeting very short and sweet why? Rodio said we are getting hundreds of thousands of grant money.... Uh if the county and state are broke and most people are unemployed then where is all this grant money coming from?

Hey whats up with the police dept records office? Why is it always closed? Can HF answer this question or are they afraid to??

More importantly why would the Mayor not answer questions about his H/R Administrator, her rude behavior, crass and callous ways.   Oh yeah because she's their henchman.    Between their H/R administrator and their good for nothing solicitor who knows less than nothing no employee dead or retiring will ever get what they rightfully deserve.    You know why because they have no money to pay these people.  They've sucked us dry but please by all means keep voting them in.

Just curious.... the asst town clerk is the boss of her sister and husband. Isn't this a conflict of interest? She has 2 immediate  family members that she supervises not only that she works side by side with her sister. This would never be tolerated in the real business world. Most businesses frown on relatives working in the same office especially when they are both in personnel and deal with finances. Not sure why HF keeps protecting this kind of behavior. Does anyone know why?

Sam Rodio is a fat bloated curd.  He is a mental midget who has acomplished nothing for himself in life.  He lives off his inlaws and has little respect for people who have to work for a living.  Atleast with Ed W we had some intelligence on the council.  Steve D is cut from the same cloth.  He obviously has no self control or restraint.  Who would want that AS THE LEADER OF OUR TOWN? Hammontonians deserve more than a classless bully as mayor.  Vote Joe Ingemi.

Every administration in recent memory has had major problems with the asst. town clerk. Her recent promotion was in exchange for the alteration or disposal of certain documents. When HF goes to the hotel gray bar the asst town clerk will have her own orange jumpsuit.

Question? sam rodio said that the Canoe club has 28 volunteers. If that's the case why do we need a recreation supervisor making $50,000 or more a year plus benefits? HF has no clue what they are doing.

Go Vice President Biden - he just brought 2,000 high paying jobs to Delaware! It's a shame Hammonton's current administration chose to do away with jobs at Kessler and town hall. We need Democrats to create jobs in Hammonton!

I'm puzzled! If the town can't raise taxes and neither did the school board why did the town lay off employees and cut services and the school didn't? Especially when the school got less funding this year? More money was just approved to be spent on water and sewer to the bowling alley and bellevue ave WHY? I thought the town had no money.

Maybe Steve DiDonato did an even better job at the school than his brother John did.

I thought the school had board members I didn't know Steve was the only overseer of the school. Why did we vote in the school board election if Steve is running the school?

Is it true that if the regular republicans or the hf republicans get elected in November they are going to make all town hall jobs part time? Did anyone else hear this?

Why are the Democratic supporters lashing out at the Republicans and Hammonton First supporters one week before election day. Personal attacks and spreading lies and rumors will not help your candidates. Attacking town employees is not right, the town employees are doing their jobs.

Stop lashing out against everyone, especially the town employees. They are not running for public office.

I am a concerned republican. It was republican Jimmy Bertino who wanted layoffs and it was republican HF for the first time in the history of Hammonton that laid off town hall secretaries. This is what I heard and if it is true the republicans are really evil people. I support our town employees I just dont understand why HF hates them so much especially the police dept. It was republicans that brought charges against the Chief, it was republicans that denied Haggerty sick time, it was republicans that laid off town employees. Are you saying that the democrats did all that even though they are not on council? If the republicans care about the town employees then why did they lay them off? Economy and workload is no excuse. If you cared you would have never laid them off for no reason other than pure hate.
