As required by the Board of Education by-laws, Mayor-elect Steve DiDonato has tendered his resignation from the school board. The resignation becomes effective on November 30th.
The board now must appoint someone to take his seat on the board until the next school board election in April when the voters will choose someone to fill the remaining one year of Steve's term.

I wonder if Steve resigned for other reasons other than becoming the Mayor of Hammonton would Loretta kissed his butt as much as she did in the Hammonton News? It couldn't be because she wants her business ARH to get the contract for the town again??? All these rich people say how much they hate each other but when it comes to money they are all lovey dovey. It's so fake and nauseating.

Hammonton is very lucky to have someone like Steve Didonato step up and support Hammonton. Hammonton is in much better shape than most local governments and people are very happy with the progress the town has made during the last 5 years.

Good Luck during your term in office.

WOW how did this town survive so many years without him. Years ago our town was a nice place to live. A beautiful down town where you could shop for anything clothes, shoes, baby clothes, appliances, tools, jewelry etc.  and a lake park with trees and swimming classes were held in the lake. Our schools were drug free and there was actually a dress code. Our politicians were one of us and didn't look down on us but always went out of their way to help us not hurt us - we could tell them what we thought without being afraid of being punished. Steve was a little boy during this time but was he responsible for all this good that existed so many years ago and that's all gone now?

Steve needs to resign from the Board of Ed. before they give his daughter her teaching position in January. Afterall, we actually, now have a nepotism policy in the district!
