How has the Town done in clearing YOUR road?

With all of the cutbacks and layoffs that have occurred in our town and especially in the highway department, we were wondering what grade you would give our town council in getting the streets of our town clear for our residents to move around? The roads were not good enough for schools to open on Monday. Some residents are saying they have not seen a single plow on their street. Thankfully the county roads have been turned back over to the counties responsibility, they got those fairly well clear.

Go to www.hammontondems.org to grade the Town's performance in clearing our streets.

The state and county roads in Hammonton and Buena have been cleared very well. The roads in Camden County are horrible, my car slid out this morning in Waterford. The county roads in Camden County have not seen a plow.

The local roads in Hammonton are cleared much better than in Winslow and Folsom. I have only left my house this morning because it does take alot of time to clear 24 inches of snow.

The job that was done is poor at best...my street has not seen a plow from 2pm on Saturday. I heard that school was closed because of the poor job that was done on the roads. I drove by the schools and their lots and walks were clear. This Hammonton First is a joke, along with their road chair Sammy"Know it All" Rodio.

I guess it takes time to clear 24" of snow and maybe a better job could have been done. But maybe we ask alot of a little and when no one wants their taxes go up this may be a result. I understand a new plan for after the first of the year is to cut our police dept. to 13 men. If it could be done that's great, for the high ups if they start from there cutting back "Checkers" is highering. You can drive your new Black Range Rover that you don't fit in to work. But I must say your friend who has the same SUV looks great in theirs. For the other cops they can go back to the jail.

WOW you don't like our Chief or police dept. You may have good reason. What I don't understand is why HF would spend 12 million on a half-assed town hall that the 3rd floor is half empty and the other half employs over paid, useless, lazy employees.... if they are only going to lay off more people? Isn't that a waste of money? I just can't figure out why HF won't get rid of the overpaid do nothing town employees but get rid of the underpaid employees that work? As far as Sam Rodio he is just a lump of crap. He don't know what to say so he keeps repeating himself over and over. I hear the Mayor only got 35 people to show up at his party last night not bad for a population of 15,000 - I guess he's not loved as much as he thinks!!

I can hear the press now.  350 packed Annata's Wine Bar to pay homage to the mayor.

Rodio must go....but the Hammonton voters record of voting for the best qualified candidate is not great.  Look at the last election.

Steve D. is going to be a disaster.  He'll probably quit by Memorial Day like he did the school board a couple years ago.  Plus, there is supposedly a split at HF.

Well what the brain washed voters weren't told is that for no new taxes HF will not do snow removal because they refuse to pay overtime to the highway workers, trash pick up every two weeks, services cut and more layoffs. They want only one secretary in each office. They just spent $50,000. on changes to the Canoe Club!!!! I wonder who benefited from that? Oh well Happy New Year a new year that is going to suck for all Hammontonians. Suck it up you voted for these a holes!

Why hasn't someone called the AC Press about this...streets not scraped because our greedy politicians won't pay overtime but blow money on stupid projects like town hall, canoe club and airport - all over budget. The Press needs to do a story on this. Wasn't HF upset that people were unable to get out of their driveways to shop downtown???

Nobody cares anymore.  They've Won!  We've Lost.  We're all just losers and naysayers if we comment, suggest, or complain.  I've learned to keep my distance from anyone from the HF Corporation.

If they decide to pick up our trash every two weeks we should just dump our trash on mayor and councils lawn. We need to revolt and not tolerate their crap anymore. I hope they had a rotten Christmas! That's what they deserve.

Here's a money making idea. Why don't they rent off the top floor of town hall to say... some caterer.  Maybe even the Canoe club could be rented out!
