Steve DiDonato broke his election pledges on a couple counts this week.

He pledged fiscal responsibility.  Lobbyists don't work for free.  How many cops are going to get rid to pay for this lobbyist?  How many highway department workers will go away?  How much longer will streets go unpaved because of this lobbying?

He bragged about volunteerism.  I thought the grant committee was supposed to searching out grants.  Then, why do we need to hire a lobbyist?

His brother bragged about all the grants we got and plus, because HF was made up of Dems and Rep, we got the best of both worlds.  What happned to this?

Grants are hard to come by these days but with all that surplus that we supposedly had, we should have been able to ride out the lean times.

Steve, you are two months into your term and the wheels are already coming of the wagon.

When did we hire this lobbyist? Who is it and how much does this person make and does this person receive health care benefits? Once again HF lied to us this lobbyist is being paid with taxpayer money, right?

So let me get this straight...Hammonton First is going to lay off police officers and in return hire a lobbyist so they can make more money from the projects. Unbelievable!!!!

Just look at our pathetic council it's obvious they are lazy except when it comes to eating. They are destroying this town. I hope their rein will be over soon before it's too late.

I bet they are going to hire one of their family members or one of their supporters. Tell us HF who got the job, what are you paying them and are you giving them health care benefits??? Inquiring minds what to know. After all it's our money!!!!!

I think they'll need to hire someone to find a grant to pay for a lobbyist that'll look for  more grants.  The grants will only be used for "certain" downtown properties and nowhere else of course.

Everyone is missing the point here. They need to hire a lobbyist to get more grant money that the federal, state and county aren't giving out because of the economic crises so that they can start all these senseless projects that only benefit Hammonton First and there supporters and they can tell everyone that all these projects were funded by grant money. Then they will just keep borrowing money and as long as no one's taxes go up everyone will be happy and question nothing! I live in a town full the numb nuts! It is definitely a waste of money but no one is complaining!!!
