Well, it seems that Councilmen Jerry Barberio may be setting out on his own. He voted against the change orders for his own project, the Canoe Club. Never before in HF history has there been a break in party-line votes.
Now, we are hearing that Jerry is trying to change certain appointments that HF made.
If this is true, maybe Jerry can start a new group, Firsters Anonymous. It can be a program to get over HF. Unfortunately, Rock Colasurdo disqualified himself. He left HF while on Council but returned when he became airport administrator. I still think there would be alot of members.
Don't be fooled by him. He's a backstabber and an opportunist. He knew about those change orders. He said it himself. So why didn't he bring it to council at the proper time if he's all about following the process, like he said in the paper? He didn't follow the process because it was his project, his campaign platform, and he needed it to open on time, so he could bring food platters to the seniors, to kiss up to them, to get their votes.
