HAMMONTON BLOG

I came across on organization in Millville called Millville First (www.millvillefirst.org).  I couldn't help but compare them with our own local group Hammonton First that we have all come to know and love.  I would put their website here but they haven't updated it since Nov of last year.  Is the money well running dry? 

Anyway, Millville First is a good government organization that questions the local government and pushes for reform.  They are big on accountability

Meanwhile, HF seizes power by spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on campaigns and let's just say is slightly challenged in the accountability department. 

Millville just got a huge contract for their airport while our biggest claim to fame for ours is the removal of dirt that caused a big stink.

Ironically, Milville firsters are called naysayers while HF calls anyone who opposed them that name. 

Maybe just maybe, Millville First has shown us the type of organization that HF failed to become but we really need in Hammonton.
