Ive always felt that chaizard became popular for more than just its strength. For a lot of fans, its tied to childhood memories, old Pokémon episodes, and those early game battles everyone remembers. When mega charizard first appeared, I remember people talking about it everywhere because the design looked seriously impressive without feeling too overdone. What I liked most about mega lizardon y was how it managed to look stronger while still keeping the classic Charizard feel. I played with charizard y a lot in some of the older Pokémon games, and it was usually the Pokémon I trusted during tougher battles.
