TAXPAYERS SEND IT, TOWN COUNCIL SPENDS IT Town Council has raided the surplus of the water and sewer departments. We need this surplus to fund infrastructure improvements as they are needed. Right now we need major upgrades to our water supply. Now guess where that money will have to come from...additional taxes.
Town Council has committed us to a town hall project that professional firms have stated can not be built for the budgeted amount. Guess where the difference will come from...additional taxes.
Town Council purchased land we already owned with your tax dollars. That same deal with the school board guarantees a tax increase of at least $204 for next years school taxes...additional taxes.
Town Council is pushing for 3rd round compliance with COAH. This will mean more low income housing with no tax income. More housing means more kids. More kids mean more schools and services. How will we pay for these additional schools and services...additional taxes.
WE CAN'T AFFORD THIS COUNCIL WHO SPENDS TOO MUCH MONEY. THIS COUNCIL WILL TAX YOU RIGHT OUT OF YOUR HOME.
I remember Diaz asking council if they are considering bringing in other taxes to Hammonton that other municipalities have. They didn't have an answer for him. It seemed like a simple question to me. All HF wants to do is bring in more revenue at the expense of the middle class workers. We're the ones with mortgages, we're the ones saving here and there for our kid's college education, we're the ones worried about our bills. HF has accountants who worry and handle their finances for them. What do they know about balancing a checkbook, paying a mortgage and car payment, putting food on the table, etc? I'm voting for the Democrats. Diaz, Glorioso and Santone to bring back trust and accountablity on town council. Enough is enough. The Democrats are strong this year. Give them our mandate and vote them in November. I like their motto: Today, Tomorrow and Toward the Future. We need ideas for today and not band-aids that will still be around in the future. All HF has done is make matters worse or added a band-aid to problems. We need action. We need solutions. We need the Democrats.
I served onboard the USS Mississippi CGN-40 with LTjg Jose' Diaz. He was a great officer and was awarded numerous awards for his work. He is a leader who always cared for and took care of his subordinates. He treated all men fairly, justly and equally. I'm proud to see he is running for town council. He is a great leader.
